Limnios Celebrates 40 years in the Industry
The Limnios Journey began some 40 years ago when chairman Mr Atha Limnios and Licensee Mrs Helen Limnios decided to enter the real estate industry.
In 1969, Atha and Helen purchased their first property, where they found their passion for real estate. It was this passion that made both helen and Atha decide to begin their new career in real estate with a local Perth agency. Four years laer, Atha and Helen decided to open their own real estate agency in partnership. Both Atha and Helen felt that this was an exciting challenge, something that Atha always envisaged to be, a businessman in a suit, with a briefcase and a nice car. With limited English on Atha's behalf and a "can do attitude" from both, Atha and Helen entered the real estate industry as proud business owners of Limnios and Associates in late 1973.
Atha's exceptional talent to talk and relate to people, made him ever so successful with acquiring and selling property for his clients. His small real estate business comprising of only his wife Helen, completing all administration duties and Property Management and Atha selling and listing property, was reaching platform for take off.
During this period, Atha and Helen became pround parents to James, Irene and Stelliani (Stell). In 1990, Atha and Helen's eldest child James had a passion to enter the family business. With Atha's and James' vision, Limnios and Associates was growing rapidly.
Limnios and Associates then joined the First National Group. Limnios First National was achieving outstanding results winning all the top awards within the First National Group.

Atha had a strong vision on how he could help better our city. With his international experiences and knowledge Atha became integral in the drive to invigorate the inner city and encourage development and bringing people back to the city, thus creating the inner city lifestyle he was used to in Greece. He was also working closely with the government departments to encourage land subdivisions which have now become sought after locations such as St Andrew's Estate in Dianella.
Atha and Helen were very proud of what was being achieved for their organisation and could see that Limnios First National was moving to greater heights, they then decided their business was moving in a different direction and it was time to become an independent agency once again. The business then became Limnios Property Group.
From then on Limnios Property Group flourished to become one of Perth's leading and progressive real estate agencies in Perth. Limnios Property Group changed the face of buying and selling real estate. They were the pioneers in "off the plan" selling. This form of selling was completed with a set of plans and an option form with a small option fee. This is still in place today and many other agencies have now adopted this method of sale.
Atha and Helen and their group of professionals at Limnios Property Group were also very successful in winning the tender to consult to the West Australian Government working with the East Perth Redevelopment Authority (EPRA) to sell all the land in the Belvidere Estate in East Perth and were also successful in their tender to be the selling agents for the Northbridge Urban Renewal Project. Our appointment was not only to provide sales but to also give our expert opinion and consult on product mix, recommendations for development, marketing strategies, etc.
This was a very significant journey for Atha and Helen and the group which saw a major change in the business model.
Limnios Property Group is now widely recognised as inner city experts and the business is thriving with over 20 staff members including 3 international respresentatives in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Now in their 40th year of real estate, both Atha, Helen and all their children are still hands on in the day-to-day running of the business.
With 3 grandchildren, Atha and Helen hope to see their once small business flourish even further and include the third generation.
